Nelson Bay Cave – Robberg Nature Reserve

I eventually decided that it was time to visit Nelson Bay Cave and what an interesting experience it was!  This cave was inhabited approximately 120 000 years ago when the coastline was 10km from where it now is.

Various layers and explanations are on view and it was really interesting to see how the cave-dwellers diet changed over the period of time.

The path to the cave is near the entrance to Robberg Nature Reserve and is a 450m (downhill) walk.

Well worth a visit.
